Ahmed Saad Sabit

I'm interested in condensed matter theory: how collective behavior emerges in many-body systems, and the mathematics — symmetry, geometry, duality — used to describe it. I'm currently applying to PhD programs in this area.

My research currently spans:

  • Non-Abelian gauge symmetry in a softly gauged S₃ qudit chain, via DMRG
  • Wegner duality, extended from 1+1D lattice gauge theory to a 3+1D Ising model
  • Multiband semiclassical transport, via an orbital Wigner-function formalism
  • Differential geometry of constant-mean-curvature surfaces

The two gauge-theory projects build on each other — the 3+1D duality result is built directly on scaffolding laid out by the 1+1D case. Alongside this, I've kept the geometry project going as a standing exercise in analytical reasoning outside the many-body setting.
